Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.

Healthy Families, an intensive, comprehensive and long-term home visitation program has an opening for a full-time Fatherhood Engagement Specialist role in Brown County; part-time may be considered for this position.  This position was created to promote and celebrate the importance of fathers in the lives of their children, by providing direct support. This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma and experience or course work in the field of Social Work, Counseling, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, Family Life Education-Fatherhood, or related human service field.  A Bachelor's Degree and/or 2 years of related work in the field is preferred.  The ideal candidate will be able to model some of these skills for individuals they are working with.

Candidates for this position must be able to plan, promote, and facilitate fatherhood involvement activities both one on one and in group settings.  Interactions with families will occur in and out of the home to emphasize a family approach to child development and parent interaction. This position requires good communication and documentation skills.  The ability to work with a diverse population in ways that are culturally competent, non-judgmental, and supportive is also required.  The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with community partners and manage a flexible schedule. Knowledge of community resources to link families to appropriate services is a plus!  A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required for this position.
